WIP Smedley Park

Out painting with the Landscape Painting Philadelphia group in Smedley Park, just outside of Media, PA. The earlier light was fading a bit by this point. It’s a work in progress, gouache, 9×12.

Crum Creek, Early Autumn

A Pair of Pears

A couple of pears that became a still life subject before they were eaten. Yum!

Beck Street

A house along a small dead-end side street in Philadelphia, painted on location.

Grape vines hang off of a chain link fence along my driveway, shading a group of peonies that bloom beautifully — if for a short time — every spring. I was entering this in a juried show and the woman who was cataloging the entries bought it on the spot.

Crum Creek at Smedley park

This creek meanders through a beautiful county park just outside of Media, PA. I was struck by the contrast betwrrn the dark tree and the brighter field and bank beyond. An early round of fall leaves floats leisurely by.
